Ardbeg An Oa is a single-malt whisky from Islay in Scotland. It is a combination of different casks: Pedro Ximénez cask, an éxtra roasted virgin oak cask and an ex-bourbon cask. This creates a complexity that makes the malt taste older than it really is.
Ardbeg An Oa is a smoky whiskey in the nose with hints of toffee, aniseed, dates and fruit. Furthermore, light aromas of chocolate and spices can also be recognized. The slightly sweet taste comes from the Pedro Ximenez barrels. The whiskey has a lingering and intense finish.
