Confectioners by trade, they began creating soft drinks when their father returned from a trip to America, inspired by the innovative, carbonated drinks he tried there. Elderflower is the perfect partner for wine-based cocktails due to its light & natural sweetness, as a result this Tonic can be an alternative pairing for any grape base, including lighter fortified wines. Cucumber provides a wonderful fresh cut through the subtle bitterness of quinine, adding a twist to summer favourites like a ‘Gin-Fizz’.
Drink: Matches perfectly with citrusy gins with notes of lemon, lime and or grapefruit. Alternatively works well with floral dry vermouths.
Food: French, English & Asian cuisines, dishes such as pan fried duck, chicken salad, or mature cheddars.
Developed to ensure the flavours are well balanced and lift even the most delicate botanicals of any spirit. The foundation of the Franklin & Sons tonic and mixer range is Staffordshire water and the finest British sugar. The range only uses natural flavours, extracts and colours and never include preservatives or sweeteners.
