Waterkloof Circle Of Life Wine Set

It's always wine o'clock! The aim of Waterkloof is to produce “honest” wines that truly express their unique sites on the Schapenberg. At Waterkloof, they are fortunate enough to be looking after a vineyard, capable of producing naturally balanced grapes, imbued with their own character and sense of place. To respectfully transmit this character and balance into the bottle, they believe it makes sense to turn those grapes into wine with minimal intervention and maximum care.

The Circle of Life red is not a wine that is driven by a particular varietal or a specific parcel of a vineyard, nor constrained by a traditional blending style, for example, a Bordeaux or Rhône blend, but rather an elegant expression of the philosophy and totality of Waterkloof, as well as the vintage. A perfectly integrated blend with great length that combines the spiciness of the Syrah, the fresh fruits of the Petit Verdot, and the juiciness from the Merlot. The introduction is fresh and fruity with good acidity, evolving into riper flavors and herbaceous notes, with elegant tannins and light acids on the finish.

This white wine can be described as an intriguing wine showing lots of different layers. The Sauvignon Blanc aromas are prominent on the nose, with beautiful lime and gooseberry aromatics showing off. Very well-integrated flavors on the palate with a tight mineral core and creamy mid-palate from the Chenin Blanc allow for great complexity and a persistent finish. The Sauvignon Blanc lends lovely, fresh acidity to the wine. Enjoy the Burgundy lifestyle!
