Waterkloof Cool Cinsault Red Wine 2018

It's always wine o'clock! Our aim is to produce “honest” wines that truly express our unique site on the Schapenberg. At Waterkloof, we are fortunate enough to be looking after a vineyard, capable of producing naturally balanced grapes, imbued with their own character and sense of place. To respectfully transmit this character and balance into the bottle, we believe it makes sense to turn those grapes into wine with minimal intervention and maximum care. Seriously Cool Cinsault is produced from more than 35-year-old bush vines on the outskirts of Stellenbosch. Older vines are known to have reached an optimal balance in growth and production through time. This allows for low yields and ripe fruit with intense flavors. The soils are of decomposed granite origin as well as a sandstone with medium-sized stones. Enjoy the Burgundy lifestyle!
