Profuomo takes care

Profuomo is a Dutch family business, founded in 1934, by Heinz Michaelis. As a third-generation family business, Profuomo is conscious of taking their responsibility for future generations. As a result, they pay great care and attention to the interests of people and the environment throughout the production process. They do this by continuously working on their supply chain and using sustainable materials, among other things. Among other things, Profuomo is a member of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), they drew up a list of fabrics that should not be used in the production processes and they use 'slow transport' such as boats or trains as much as possible to minimise their environmental impact. By partnering with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), Profuomo wants to commit to improving cotton production globally. They aim to qualify 100% of their cotton as 'more sustainable cotton' by 2025. 'More sustainable cotton' refers to Better Cotton, recycled cotton and organic cotton. Besides these initiatives, Profuomo is a member of numerous others and would like to achieve a number of other goals in the future.
