The nose is rich with dark and black fruit (blueberries, blackberries), a subtle hint of cacao, and balsamic notes. Further aromas of vanilla and nutmeg, hints of pastries and toffee, and the elegance of limestone terroir are evident. On the palate, the wine is round and ends powerfully, yet possesses exceptional finesse, offering an intense, fresh, and deep mouthfeel with a very pleasant, persistent attack. It achieves a perfect balance of fruit, wood, elegance, and greatness in the long finish.
Aged for an impressive 16 months in a blend of oak barrels, followed by an additional 10 months in bottle before release.
