The mastermind behind Seedlip, Ben Branson, was inspired by 'The Art of Distillation', a book from 1651. It describes how pharmacists brew non-alcoholic remedies. Inspired by the book and his pharmacist background Branson started distilling fresh herbs. Seedlip is distilled in a copper pot, after which the alcohol is extracted. A clear answer to the question "What to drink when you're not drinking." Seedlip is often seen as a non-alcholic gin. But gin has to contain at least 37,5% alcohol, so don't let that fool you. But of course Seedlip can be used as a alcohol-free gin. Furthermore, Seedlip has zero calories, doesn't contain sugar, artificial sweeteners or flavours. Seedlip Spice 94 is a spicy spirit made of allspice berries, Cardamom, Grapefruit peel, Lemon peel, Oak bark, Cascarilla bark. Fun fact: 94 refers to the year 1494, the year where Colombus discovered allspice berries in Jamaica. Aromatic with warm spiced notes, citrussy top notes from lemon and grapefruit peel and a long bitter finish. Serve with tonic and a red grapefruit peel for the perfect serve.
