Gouden Carolus Single Malt is a fine whisky distilled from the wort of Gouden Carolus Tripel beer from the Anker brewery. It is the first whisky to be produced in Belgium, at the historic Molenberg distillery at Blaasveld in Flanders, which until the eighteenth century used to produce gin. The copper stills in which the barley wort is distilled are the first hand-hammered stills in Belgium, built by Forsyths, one of the most famous coppersmiths in Scotland. The result is a pure and clear liqueur. The use of the classic Bourbon barrels, followed by a period of maturation in oak barrels from the Anker brewery, creates a refined whisky with a rich and balanced taste. The subtle aromas are nicely supplemented by woody and vanilla notes. An absolute must-have for the whisky lover!
