Brut Royal is Dame Jeanne’s degustation beer. After fermentation according to the traditional method, the volume is supplemented with selected high quality liqueurs, which perfectly match the taste of the basic beer. This gives an extra full aroma to the Brut beer, ideal for a surprisingly delicious digestive beer.
For brewer Patrick Theunissen, Brut Royal Calvados is the top favorite from the range. In the "méthode champegnoise traditionelle", the champagne yeast is removed (dégorgement) after the maturation process in order to add a liqueur, this is called the "liqueur de dosage". For Brut Royal Calvados, they chose a liqueur d'expedition of the Calvados house Roger Groult. A traditional calvados distillery that is already on its 5th generation. This calvados gives an extra push to the already present fruity taste and aroma of the beer, resulting in an even more intense taste experience of the beer.
