Federer: a legend with a big heart for society!
The legend Roger Federer, well known for his cutting serve has hit his last professional ball but is not thinking of taking it easy just yet. Together with Mercedes Benz, he is launching the `Neon Legacy` project. The aim: to give something back to society.
Federer can look back on a fantastic career with no fewer than 103 ATP titles and 20 Grand Slam titles. The Swiss is not only loved for his kindness, but also for his commitment to society. With his own Roger Federer foundation, he supports educational projects in the southern African region and Switzerland.
The Neon Legacy Project
The first `neon legacy` project centres on a neon yellow Mercedes AMG GT 63 S PERFORMANCE. This AMG no less than pops from 0 to 200 kilometres in less than 10 seconds. And that's fast, but did you know that Federer's fastest ever serve was a whopping 230 kilometres per hour.

A tennis ball with brute force!
The appearance of this fast bolide is striking to say the least. The neon yellow colour is a reference to the colour of the tennis balls that Federer has managed to smash over the net over the past 24 years. Furthermore, the car is finished with the friendly Swiss's initials and has not yet driven a single kilometre. This is the ultimate gadget for those who love speed, stand out and like to do their bit for society. The proceeds of this canary yellow gem are estimated at a sloppy $200,000 and donated in full to the renovation of public tennis courts in London.

Exclusive auction through Sotheby`s
The tennis-ball car will be offered exclusively at auction by auction house Sotheby`s on 26 November next.
To be continued
This auction of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance and the investment in the London project are just the beginning of the collaboration between Mercedes Benz and Roger Federer. There are several sub-projects planned for 2023 that will be announced at a later date.
