The Pommery Cuvée Louise 2005, a vintage champagne, has been created as a tribute to Louise Pommery, the founder of the eponymous champagne house († 1890). The Cuvée Louise is a very pure champagne which perfectly reflects the viticultural expertise of the champagne house Pommery. 2005 was a wonderful harvest of which Maison Pommery selected the most beautiful parcels and the best grapes to emphasize the wonderful potential of this wine year, with respect for the 3 Grands Crus of the Cuvée Louise: Ay, Avize and Cramant.
The Cuvée Louise champagne is a caress for the tongue, the texture is velvety and creamy. The attack is open, soft and balanced. In order to obtain the full development of the aromas, a maturation of at least six to eight years is necessary in the heart of the cellars of the champagne house.
The coloured lines on the bottle and gift box are reminiscent of the rows of vines in the vineyards of Aÿ, Cramant and Avize. The pink of Aÿ is a sign of elegance, the gold of Avize testifies to its nobility and the blue of Cramant symbolises its purity... all important characteristics of the Cuvée Louise. These colours also symbolise the history and values of the House of Pommery: the pink of Madame Pommery and her visionary genius, the gold recalling the beauty and richness of the heritage and finally the blue for the water and the commitment to preserving the environment.
