The first champagne of a new century

Pompadour Brut Réserve Champagne is not created to follow trends, but to define them. This is a champagne shaped by patience, precision and an uncompromising vision of excellence, conceived for men who value depth over display and heritage over excess. Every bottle reflects a relentless pursuit of balance between tradition and singularity, resulting in a cuvée that feels both powerful and refined.

At its core lies an extraordinary liqueur d’expédition, crafted as a cuvée in its own right. It is composed of a rare selection of reserve wines drawn from the Clos Pompadour collection of vintage magnums spanning the years 2004 to 2013, complemented by the Clos Pompadour perpetual reserve. This meticulous assemblage captures the memory of a decade of prestigious vintages while anchoring the wine firmly in its terroir, delivering remarkable depth and layered complexity.

The three classic Champagne grape varieties are brought together through a process that borders on ritual. Each stage, from plot selection to extended ageing, is scrutinised with absolute precision. The slow recomposition in vats allows the wine to fully express its origin, resulting in a distinctive mineral resonance that echoes the chalky soils and historic identity of the Domaine. Nothing is left to chance; harmony is not hoped for, but engineered.

On the nose, the wine opens with an elegant sense of exoticism. Ripe yellow fruit leads the way, enriched by a delicate floral nuance where rose appears with subtle restraint. Soft hints of vanilla, fine toast and a touch of white pepper add sophistication and depth, creating a bouquet that is both generous and controlled.

The palate is defined by a confident, mineral-driven attack that structures the wine from the first moment. The texture is fleshy yet precise, revealing opulent fruit balanced by freshness and tension. The finish is long, harmonious and luminous, extending the experience with clarity and finesse long after the last sip. Serve at around 10–12°C with refined dishes such as sole, scallops, poultry with creamy sauce, or as an aperitif on special occasions.

Pompadour Brut Réserve Champagne is more than a blend; it is the culmination of savoir-faire, patience and respect for time. It speaks to those who recognise true luxury not in extravagance, but in mastery, restraint and authenticity. A champagne with presence, purpose and an unmistakable sense of identity.
