For these Decaf V-cups the high-quality Guatemala SHB coffee was selected, which has a versatile aroma with sweet notes. These are premium 100% Arabica beans which grow at approximately 1500 meters. The blend shows tones of hazelnut and dark chocolate. Since the acidity is restricted during the decaffeination process, the pleasant to enjoy all-day. These compostable cups are made with natural materials only. The cups have a base of starch and plant-based glucose, and the top foil is created with plant-based extracts. These components are woven into each other which gives a paper-feel. Over 92% of all the decaf coffee in Europe, has been decaffeinated with unhealthy chemicals like dichloromethane. Vascobelo however uses decaf which is 100% free of any chemicals. They use a natural decaffeination method which is based on carbon dioxide (CO2). CO2 is a very pure compound which occurs naturally. Under high pressure it can be used to extract caffeine from raw coffee beans, without extracting critical components that are of critical importance for the coffee’s aroma.
