The glass shades are mouth-blown with great care by experienced glass-blowers. This makes every single shade slightly different from one another, which adds to the unique look of the Stringlight. After every shade is shaped, the glass is cut manually to create the opening and any sharp edges are smoothed. The inside of the colorful shades are spray painted by hand. A tempered coating is added to make the shades more weatherproof. When taking a very close look, small differences may be visible as a result of the manual painting process.
