Fourchette was born from the best of two worlds

Fourchette beer was born from the best of both worlds: the refined, sophisticated taste of top chefs and the knowledge and passion of six generations of master brewers. Brewery Van Steenberge created this exclusive speciality beer in collaboration with Belgian (star) chefs, with the aim of convincing restaurant guests to pair their culinary choices with beer. This lively beer is made with the very best ingredients, such as malt, wheat, hops and wort. Through a process of high fermentation and secondary fermentation in the bottle, it achieves a silky balance between mildly bitter and deliciously refreshing flavours. Fourchette is a beer you don't just taste, but really experience. There is absolute harmony in this timeless moment, where contradictions disappear and everything blends effortlessly. It is the result of the curious mind and passionate soul of a sixth-generation chef and brewer. Fourchette exudes a sense of luxury, without pretension. Reminiscent of a tripel, it reveals its flavours in a particularly accessible and spontaneous way. Fourchette is a deliberate choice that is always right, and above all extraordinary. Whether you are taking some time for yourself after a long working day or want to experience a moment of luxury at the weekend, Fourchette is the beer that underlines that special moment. With a glass of Fourchette, the everyday becomes extraordinary. You now have all the time in the world to fully enjoy impressions, thoughts and senses. Mark the moment!

From yeast to pleasure: Fourchette's unique brewing process.

The gourmet beer Fourchette is described as a "living beer". This term refers to the unique process used. When the beer is bottled, fresh yeast and sugar are added. This allows the beer to post-ferment in the bottle, which keeps the flavour evolving and releases additional aromas. When brewing Fourchette, they use their own yeast culture, so they master the art of high fermentation like no other. During this process, sugar is converted into alcohol and carbon dioxide. They then naturally mature the beer by cooling it down to 0 degrees, stopping the main fermentation. The secondary fermentation in the bottle or in the keg finally ensures the long-term development of the flavour.

The ultimate taste experience, poured perfectly!

Fourchette is a top-fermented beer with secondary fermentation in the bottle. For optimal enjoyment, it is recommended to serve this gourmet beer with a firm head. Choose a fine wine glass and follow the pouring tips to do justice to this delicious blend of floral wheat beer and tripel. It is important not to serve this beer too cold. An ideal pouring temperature of 8 degrees Celsius is advised. Using the matching fine Fourchette glass, or another glass with a thin rim, ensures that all the flavours come out perfectly. Make sure the glass is clean so that no bubbles stick to the rim and the beer can foam well. You may want to rinse the glass with a splash of Fourchette and pour it away, so that the aromas of the beer will come straight into your glass. When pouring the beer, let a fine jet flow into the glass from height for the best taste experience. A firm head of foam is essential for this. To loosen the live yeast at the bottom, you can gently roll the bottle. Feel free to pour some yeast into the glass as well, this will give it a richer, full-bodied flavour and a beautiful amber colour, just as Fourchette is meant to be. Now it's time to enjoy this cloudy beer with a firm head.
